School of Witchcraft
While strolling social media streets yesterday, I saw a post on how the church has become obsessed with oppression and power.
While brooding over the piece, it occurred to me that there is no oppression in the church. Oppression is in people. There is no wickedness in church. Wickedness is in people.
What we see in the church is who we are.
Or how did verses like “wives submit to your husband” become more popular than “husband love your wife as christ loves the church?.”
Or “God hates divorce” become more popular than God hates injustice like domestic violence and infidelity?.”
Or “children honour your parents” above “parents don’t provoke your children.”
Why are we choosing what to elevate?
Our national report card reveals the state of our hearts.
We are not as kind as we pretend to be.
We just need the right trigger & atmosphere to manifest our witchcraft.
We infused culture in scriptures to smoothen our ego.
Elevated patriarchy above humanity.
Marital decisions are made from the phrase “control.” Yet we are alarmed at the rate of divorce.
Who controls another yet lives happily ever after.
Children are dying in some schools yet some parents are mute and breathing the statement ” thank God is not my child.”
Married people are bullying singles.
Couples with children are bullying expectant couples.
Neighbours are oppressing each other with generators and cars.
“Divorcees” are stigmatised.
A society in love with power, control, and money is a wicked society.
A society that will bathe in blood.
Now that some teenagers have become ritualists.
What will pre-teens or children do?
And if you are wondering how they became ritualists. We collectively failed them.
We flaunted money above values.
Strutted currency above character.
It’s time to have difficult conversations.
